CORSHAM grabbed the honours in the derby with a hard-fought victory at Lacock Road.

Bradford went in front through a try on 12 minutes with a powerful run from Josh Felix who caused Corsham several problems in the first half with his strong, direct running.

Corsham hit back with an Ollie Deane penalty, but then had to defend strongly as Bradford pressed.

The home back line, led by veteran centre and club president Tony Iacono, who stepped up to fill a gap following a number of injuries, created a number of chances, and the home side added a converted try just before half time.

Corsham were forced to make more changes at half time losing both second row John Murzyn and number eight Iain Cook to injuries.

The young replacements stood up to the challenge, though, despite Bradford taking the lead early in the half, with a second converted try by Felix.

Corsham dug deep and fought back with a Dan Goldsworthy try and Deane was on hand to seal the victory with a penalty.
