SWINDON Town Ladies join the FA Women’s Cup trail on Sunday with a trip to face Torquay United in the final qualifying round.

The two sides have never met before, with the Devon side playing in the South West Regional League, in which they are currently third.

To reach this stage, Torquay beat Ilchester Town and had a walkover against Kidlington, who withdrew from the competition in the previous round.

Town were without a game last Sunday, which gave Forest Green Rovers and Southampton Saints the chance to push Swindon back to third place in the FA Women’s Premier League Division One South West.

Manager Steve Robertson said: “Although we are probably going into the game as favourites, we are certainly not underestimating the task on Sunday.

“They (Torquay) are a good team pushing for promotion and we are expecting a tough game.

“The FA Cup always produces shocks and we don’t intend to be one of them.’’ After several weeks out, Laura Morgan returns from injury and is included in the Town squad for the game.

Squad: Robyn Levett, Meg Vella, Beth Thompson, Lisa Coe, Sam Quinn, Ellie Maynard, Chyna Collings, Alice Smith, Laura Morgan, Sarah Uzzell, Megan Attenborough, Kelly Nightingale, Michelle Rich, Chenise Austin, Sally Butterfield.
