NEW COLLEGE earned their second victory in three games tonight as they saw off Lydney Town.
Mark Teasdale’s youngsters, who hadn’t been in action since their 2-2 draw with Tytherington Rocks seven days earlier, were playing in their third successive home match in the Hellenic League Division One West.
And College claimed all three points at the Webb’s Wood Stadium as they beat Gloucestershire outfit Lydney 1-0, courtesy of Christy Millar’s ninth goal of the season.
Teasdale’s side remain 12th in the table but are now level on points with Clanfield and Carterton.
In the Premier Division, there was disappointment for Wootton Bassett Town as they were beaten 2-0 at home by Thatcham Town.
The visitors’ Alex Oakman netted in the 79th minute before Chris Gerrard grabbed Thatcham’s second five minutes later.
