REPORTS have emerged this morning that both Massimo Luongo and Ben Gladwin are set to sign for Queens Park Rangers.

The Adver understands that a deal for Luongo could go through today according to sources close to the player, with Gladwin also set to be part of the deal.

The Australian midfielder is in west London today and set to have a medical with the Championship club, and it has also been reported that Gladwin will also be having a medical ahead of finalising the deal.

It is understood that the pair will both be signed on three year deals after the formalities are completed today.

Yesterday, it appeared that Aston Villa were the front-runners for the pair but it is believed that QPR have tabled a bid in the region of £4m, which would eclipse Town's record transfer fee received for a player, the £1.5m that took Kevin Horlock to Manchester City in January 1997.

Swindon Town chairman Lee Power revealed yesterday "three substantial offers'' were in for the Asian Cup winner and admitted a deal could be wrapped up within days.

Luongo has spent just over two years at Swindon after signing from Tottenham in 2013, scoring 10 goals in 73 appearances, while Gladwin signed from non-league Marlow in July 2013.

Both Swindon Town and Queens Park Rangers were approached regarding the move but have refused to comment on any speculation at this stage.
