SWINDON Town have confirmed the signing of Fabien Robert on a one-year deal and look set to announce keeper Lawrence Vigouroux on a season-long loan.

Robert has impressed in Town’s pre-season programme as a trialist, scoring against Petersfield and Solihull Moors. Boss Mark Cooper confirmed last week that he had been offered a deal and he now has accepted a one-year contract, with an option for a further year.

Vigoroux played the second half of last Saturday’s 4-1 defeat to West Bromwich Albion and would provide competition for Tyrell Belford for the vacant number one position.

Should the former Tottenham junior sign on at the County Ground, he would join Liverpool teammates Jordan Williams and Kevin Stewart.

The move would not affect any potential loan deal for Ryan Kent, as Town are allowed to borrow a maximum of four players from the same parent club.
