A SELL-OUT crowd will see the last in the series of Town’s pre-season fixtures against Premier League opposition tomorrow as Liverpool head to the County Ground (4pm).

The challenge of the giants from Merseyside offers Mark Cooper the final major opportunity to give his squad a run-out against top-class opposition before the season proper kicks off at home to Bradford City in League One next Saturday.

Liverpool are due to face HJK in Helsinki tonight but while, in all likelihood, that ruled some of the Reds’ high-profile names out of the match in Wiltshire, the absence of some of Liverpool’s other famous faces on the plane to Finland did offer the tantalising prospect of them appearing tomorrow.

Striker Christian Benteke and forward Roberto Firmino - a combined £61 million of talent - have both been left out of this evening’s encounter, raising the prospect of them appearing in some capacity against Swindon.

Also not travelling with Liverpool to Helsinki were midfielders Lucas, Joe Allen, Lazar Markovic, Emre Can and defender Mamadou Sakho, although Ryan Kent - a loan target for Town - is due to feature this evening.

Town fans are reminded that no tickets for the match will be on sale tomorrow.

Meanwhile, Swindon have yet to confirm the loan signing of Liverpool keeper Lawrence Vigouroux following the signing of Fabien Robert on Thursday.
