LAURA Halford claimed three more gold medals after another excellent day at the British Gymnastics Championships.
After being crowned national all-around champion for the third time on Thursday, Cricklade’s Halford continued her excellent form at Liverpool’s Echo Arena in the individual apparatus events.
Halford, of Swindon’s Esprit club, headed the scoresheets in the hoops with 16.050 and also stepped onto the top step of the podium in both the clubs (16.000) and the ball (15.950) classes.
In fact, Halford was only denied a clean sweep of victories across the aparatus by her Esprit club-mate Stephani Sherlock, who triumped in the ribbon competition with a score of 15.150.
However, there was some consolation for Halford as her score of 14.650 was enough to see her claim the silver medal.
