DAVE Ferris lamented that some ‘schoolboy’ defensive errors let down his Chippenham Park side as they were beaten by Roman Glass St George on Tuesday night.

Park twice took the lead through Mike Clement and Mark Nolan but ended up on the wrong end of a 3-2 scoreline at Hardenhuish Park.

“We had five 18-year-olds in the team on Tuesday and I have to keep reminding myself that they’re very good lads but they haven’t got much experience,” said manager Ferris.

“We felt comfortable twice and should have gone on to win the game but you can’t win games making the defensive errors that we did.

“No disrespect to my lads but the defending was schoolboy for the first two goals and then for the third, their lad has been a bit cute in sticking his leg out into Callum McCormack's in the box and going down for a penalty.

"It left a sour taste but we've still had a good start to the season."

On Saturday, Park beat Wellington 2-1 thanks to Andre Elkana's first two goals for the club.
