ADVER Sport's Tom Bassam hands out his ratings from Town's 7-6 penalty shootout win at Newport County.

Tyrell Belford

Asked to do very little in terms of goalkeeping until the shootout when he came big at the right time. 7

Brad Barry

One loose backpass caused a moment of danger, but otherwise looked confident and able. 7

Raphael Branco [c]

A reliable presence at back who did the dirty work well and marshalled the Town back line. 8*

Jordan Turnbull (booked)

Back in his preferred centre-half position he looked more secure and saved his side by taking a booking when John-Lewis was played in by Barry. 7

James Brophy (booked)

An unfortunate slip allowed Newport to grab their equaliser, but it did not dim his confidence as he continued to nip forward and showed a lovely turn of pace. 7

Anton Rodgers

His goal was a blinder and he took on the mantel of senior player well, guiding his younger teammates through the game. 7

Drissa Traore

Another strong performance from the Ivorian, broke up play well and got forward when he could. 8

Kevin Stewart

Did not show a lot in the first half but before he was taken off with injury he began to become a force with his runs forward. 6

Lee Marshall

A quiet performance from the youngster in a unusual position for him. 6

Fabien Robert

Asked to play as a number nine, but popped up all over the place and put in a good shift before tiring in the second half. 7

Will Randall

Scored the vital penalty, but did not offer much of a threat during normal time. 6

Subs

Tom Smith (on for Marshall, 71)

Got stuck in well and had a nice effort go just over.

Ellis Iandolo (on for Stewart, 79)

Ran wilingly and tried to get in behind the Exiles back line.
