CHIPPENHAM Park suffered a shock to the system on Tuesday night as they were condemned to their biggest defeat of the season.
Dave Ferris’ side had made a steady start to the new Toolstation League First Division season but in midweek, they were handed a rude awakening as they were dispatched 4-0 by newly-promoted Chipping Sodbury in Gloucestershire.
The hosts are now unbeaten in four outings whilst Park were left to reflect on a third match without a win.
On Saturday, Ferris’ charges were part of a goalless stalemate on the road at Radstock Town.
The visitors threatened early on whilst Radstock’s Simon Millard and Tom Pawley both drew saves from Park goalkeeper Sam Thomson.
The hosts were to finish the game with ten men after midfielder Ryan Child was shown a straight red card for an off-the-ball incident in the second period, despite the home team claiming a case of mistaken identity.
And a minute after Child's dismissal, Park's George Bettles followed him for an early bath for kicking out at Radstock's Jordan Matthews.
