GYMNASTS from Chippenham Moonraker club competed with great success at round two of the West Country League in Melksham.
Moonraker entered teams into Division Three A and B League.
The West Country League comprises teams from across the South West of England as well as Wales.
The A League - where all team members must be under 11 years of age - the team of Ellie Kimber, Ellie Treacy, Sophie Townsend, Emily Macklin-Day, Freya Gleed and last-minute injury replacement Amber Tiley performed their routines well across the competition, finishing just outside the medal positions in fourth place.
Treacy was particularly successful in the individual competition finishing second overall as well as second on the floor exercise.
The B League saw the team of Mia Wright, Maisie Russell, Kelsey Stokes, Katie Strange, Morgan Sanderson and Lauren Searle secure the gold medal by a clear four-point margin to sit on top of the league.
Strange placed third in the all-around event, along with second on the asymmetric bars, with Stokes and Wright placing second and third respectively on the vault.
