TOWN Ladies travel to south east London to face Long Lane in the third qualifying round of the Women’s FA Cup on Sunday.

Long Lane play in the South East Counties League and the two sides have not met before. The Kidbrooke outfit have already won through two rounds beating Margate 6-2 and Eastbourne Town by 4-1, for Town this is their first round of competition.

Boss Steve Robertson admitted he did not know a great deal about Long Lane, but was looking forward to another cup game after last week’s success against Larkhall Athletic.

“Last week we did well against Larkhall in the League Cup,” he said. “We will need to perform like that again this week.

“We know absolutely nothing about Long Lane except that they play in blue and black, so we will have to get our game right from the start.”

Town are without three senior players with Meg Vella joining Sarah Uzzell and Laura Morgan on the injured list.
