AFTER making several changes once again, Trowbridge struggled to stay in touch with Witney.

Lloyd Davis got Trowbridge off the mark with a penalty only for George Lewis to reply with two of his own.

Dave Finlay’s try put the visitors ahead again, converted by Davis, but Witney ran around the defence, sending Lewis Collins in for a try.

The visitors misjudged the restart, giving Witney another chance to attack and score through Matt Clarke.

Just before the break Trowbridge were reduced to 14 as Sean Jones was sin-binned and Witney pounced with another try for Collins to make it 23-10.

Witney started the half at pace and Lewis got on the scoreboard again before Harvey Dodman-Edwards ran in the first two tries of his hat-trick.

Trowbridge then had a further setback as captain Scott Williams went off injured and Witney ran in a try through Declan Baylis.

Lloyd and Gareth Davis were both then shown yellow cards and Karl Campbell went over for Witney.

Trowbridge did not give up ran in a second try through Ashley Chalk but there was still time for Dodman-Edwards to complete his treble and the win.
