A LOOK at the transfers that have happened in League One over the last few days

  • FORMER Swindon Town loanee Wes Thomas has penned a two-year contract with local rivals Oxford United.

The 29-year-old joined defender Aaron Martin at the Kassam Stadium over the weekend on free transfers after leaving Birmingham City and Coventry City respectively.

  • Christian Ribeiro, who was rumoured to be a target for Town last summer has also joined Michael Appleton’s side having not had his contract at Exeter City renewed.

The 26-year-old right-back has also signed a two-year deal in Oxfordshire and said the decision was an easy one to make.

“There’s no reason why this side can’t trouble Championship teams, let alone League One,” he told the Oxford Mail.

“I’ve already seen what damage this team can do to others, so hopefully the standard will be just as high this year.

"That’s why when opportunities like this come, you just have to snap them up.”

  • Bury have also been busy early on in the transfer window, having made five signings since Friday.

Former England stopper Chris Kirkland is the latest recruit at Gigg Lane having signed a one-year deal after leaving Preston.

Rangers striker Nicky Clark, who helped the Scottish club win the Championship title last season with six goals, has signed a two-year deal.

The Shakers have also signed goalkeeper Ben Williams, ex-Wolves winger Zeli Ismail and former Bolton defender Niall Maher.

  • Peterborough United have signed Crewe Alexandra midfielder Brad Inman on a three-year contract.
  • MK Dons have signed defender Paul Downing on a two-year deal after he rejected a new contract offer from League One rivals Walsall.
  • Plymouth winger Gregg Wylde will join Millwall on Friday, July 1, when his Argyle contract expires.
  • Walsall have announced the loan signing of Southampton defender Jason McCarthy, who spent last season at Wycombe Wanderers.
  • Peterborough United goalkeeper Ben Alnwick has signed a new three-year contract with the League One side.
