SIMON and Denise Nott took the honours in the 12th Foxtrot 5 as 120 runners lined up on the Common in Broughton Gifford.

The Calne Running Club duo, who got married in June, added yet another Foxtrot crown to their tally.

For Simon, this was his fourth victory at the race as he came home in 25 minutes 45 seconds, nearly 30 seconds ahead of second-placed Michael Towler of Avon Valley Runners and Thomas Davies of Team Bath, who along with 11th-placed Charlie Stockley and 13th-placed David Vaudin (first MV50), took the men’s team title.

For Denise, it was her third victory at the event as she finished in a time of 32.30 – 10 seconds ahead of second-placed Joanna Thompson of Bath. Jackie Riley of Bitton Road Runners was a further 20 seconds back in third.

Taking the FV40 prize was fourth-placed Anita Mellodew of Avon Valley Runners who along with Juliet Coulson and Tina Towler, claimed the Ladies' team prize.

Other awards were presented to: 1st MV40 - Heath Bampton of Royal Wootton Bassett Hounds; 1st MV60 - Steve Hale of Team Bath; 1st MV60 - David George of Westbury Harriers; 1st FV50 - Alison Graham of Corsham Running Club; 1st FV60 - Jane Watkins of Marlborough Running Club.
