n PURTON Youth’s managers and coaches have been keeping well wrapped up this winter after Swindon Audi provided them with warm weather jackets.

The club, which has been running since 2005, had been searching for a new sponsor when Richard Fellows, head of business at Swindon Audi, offered to help out.

“We recognise the importance of local grassroots football and helping youngsters get into sport. When Purton Youth approached us, they were specific about where a contribution from Audi could immediately make an impact,” Fellows said.

Purton Youth chairman Steve Hateley added: “Without a good and dedicated coaching staff, clubs like ours would cease to exist.

“We all have full-time jobs and it’s important to recognise the commitment of our coaches, especially when you are out on the training ground on a cold, wet and wintery weekend morning.”

Purton are looking for new players in school year one in preparation for next season. Anyone interested should visit the club’s new website www.purtonyouth.com.
