WITH nothing riding on their Group A fixture, The Stiffs and Melksham Town B played out a competitive game which Melksham won 3-2 thanks to a last-minute winner.

The unfortunate Rich Taylor put through his own net to give Melksham a half-time lead.

After the break, The Stiffs got back on level terms when Callum Thorburn beat his own keeper to square things up.

A sixth goal of the season for Rob Clarke put Stiffs 2-1 ahead before the own goal curse struck for a third time, Kevin Ball helping Dave Jenkins' effort home to see Melksham level at 2-2.

With time running out, Neil Grant rolled back the years as he bagged a late winner for Melksham to earn them a 3-2 success.

With Trowbridge Town A and Calne Eagles already through to the semi-final stages of the competition there was nothing riding on their second meeting in as many weeks.

Calne romped to a 6-1 win last Saturday on this occasion they had to come from behind to claim a 2-1 victory.

Dean Gumm may have put Trowbridge ahead, but his goal turned out to be a consolation as Mickey Taraskevics brought Calne level before half-time and Shaun Jefferies bagged their second half winner.

Group B winners Three Daggers found themselves 3-1 down at home to Trowbridge Wanderers Development before netting seven unanswered second-half goals to run out 8-3 winners.

Andre Ribeimon with two and Myles Woodward’s single had threatened an upset until Daggers found their scoring boots.

Adam Bishop, Lee Murdan, Wayne Wheeler, Mike Gunter, Ryan Underwood, Mark Young and Joe Moloney with two were Daggers' scorers.
