CRICKLADE Town have appointed Albert Dearing as the club’s new first-team manager ahead of the 2017/18 Wiltshire League season.

Dearing will be assisted by Gary Norman, with Steve Shaw, Colin Yates and Terry Dearing also forming part of the new-look coaching staff.

In a statement, Cricklade vice-chairman Richard Austen said: “After a series of interviews with other people, we believe we have found the right person to take the club forward in our 120th year.

“Albert has a proven track record with success at various levels with Minety and more recently, winning the Wiltshire Premier League and cup with Southbrook.

“He has a great knowledge of local football and he sees this appointment as a project.”

Training will be held every Tuesday and Thursday from 6.30pm and anyone interested in joining the club can call new manager Dearing on 07941 367950.
