NOTTS County stepped up their recruitment drive as they made a double swoop for Gibraltar international Liam Walker and Carlisle United defender Shaun Brisley.

Walker has impressed on trial with the Nottinghamshire club, with the 29-year-old having scored 15 goals for previous side Europa FC as they won the Gibraltar Premier Division title.

Meanwhile, Brisely joined the Magpies on a two-year contract after his deal with Carlisle was cancelled.

The 27-year-old central defender has previously played under current Notts manager Kevin Nolan during a loan spell at Leyton Orient in the 2015-16 season.

REECE Deakin has signed a one-year contract with Morecambe after a successful trial period.

The 20-year-old forward started in Crystal Palace’s youth setup and has featured in three pre-season matches this summer.

WINGER Jordan Clark has extended his stay with Accrington Stanley until 2019.
