ONE TO WATCH: Cameron Jerome

Swindon Advertiser: Cameron Jerome

AFTER working his way around a host of clubs earlier in his career, striker Cameron Jerome seems to have found a happy home at Norwich City over the last couple of years.

Jerome began his career at Middlesborough and had spells at Cardiff, Birmingham, Stoke and Crystal Palace before arriving at Carrow Road in 2014.

That maiden season with the Canaries proved Jerome’s most fruitful in front of goal as his haul of 21 helped them win promotion to the Premier League via the play-offs.

Although the goals dried up in the top flight - he netted just three times in 35 appearances - Jerome again proved himself one of the second tier’s top strikers last season with 16 goals to lead Norwich’s scoring charts.

KEY BATTLE: Paul Mullin v Russell Martin

SWINDON Town striker Paul Mullin looked a real livewire in attack against Carlisle United on Saturday as he had a licence to roam about and make runs off a more central striker, regularly drifting wide and back inside.

Should he be allowed the same freedom at Carrow Road, one of Norwich’s three centre-backs will likely have to keep a close eye on him to stifle his antics, and captain Russell Martin could well be the man tasked with that responsibilty.
