HIS side have blasted nine goals in three Toolstation League Premier Division games, but there is no containing the old goalkeeping habits of manager Danny Greaves, who admits he takes greater satisfaction in what has happened away from the front end of the pitch.

Saturday's resounding 3-0 win over promoted Wellington was followed by an even more emphatic 5-0 scoreline at Longwell Green Sports on Tuesday, as the Trowbridge Road men maintained their perfect start to the league campaign.

Bradford have bounced back well from their opening-day FA Cup disappointment at the hands of Odd Down, but while his attack has been making hay at one end of the pitch, what has really impressed Greaves is his men's frugality at the back.

"We've brought some players in this season and with the squad we've got we're always going to score goals,'' said the manager.

"As an ex-goalkeeper though, I'm bound to like clean sheets and we've had three of them.

"If we keep clean sheets, then nine times out of 10 I feel that we're going to win games.

"We've worked a lot on it before the season, things like defending from the front and long may it continue.

Dan Cottle opened the scoring against Sports on 19 minutes on Tuesday from Rickie Scott's pass before Martin Lenihan fired home from Karim Rendall's cross.

Nathan Loader reacted to a rebound from a Lenihan free-kick after the breaks before Anthony Conradi and Rendall wrapped up the triumph.

Will Hailston, Conradi and Cottle gave Wellington the boot at the weekend and Bradford head into what is likely to be a tough home encounter with Bitton this weekend in good heart.

"They have recruited a lot of ex-Southern League players so that's likely to be a difficult game,'' added Greaves.

"On paper, maybe the teams we've played haven't been the best in the division, but we went to Brislington (in their first league match) and won there, so we know what we can do.''
