INJURED Swindon Robins reserve Mitchell Davey will be guest of honour of the club for Thursday night’s home meeting against King’s Lynn Stars in the SGB Premiership.
The 28-year-old Australian suffered several serious injuries following a horror crash while on National League duty with Birmingham Brummies in May and is facing an extended spell on the sidelines.
Davey, who appeared in five meetings for Alun Rossiter’s Swindon before his crash, will be bringing a bike along with him to the Abbey Stadium – but for photo opportunities only where he will also sign autographs between 6.30-7pm inside the main gate.
Davey said: “It’s going to be good to see everyone again and I want to thank as many people as I possibly can in person for the money they raised for me during their collections.
“The boys have been picking up some good results again lately and they’re sitting pretty nicely in the league table.”
