CALNE Town Reserves remain top of the Plaister Autos Wiltshire league Premier Division after a 2-1 away win over Westside.

Westside were undone by two first-half strikes from Steve Healey, who netted early in the game and scored a second from a quickly taken free kick on the edge of the area.

Jimmy Wright pulled a goal back for the home side 15 minutes into the second half but despite some sustained pressure the leaders hung on to collect the points.

Blueprint Senior looked to be home and dry with a two-goal lead against AFC Trowbridge with 10 minutes remaining in their Premier Division game.

However, Trowbridge player-manager Robbie Simmonds came off the bench to score with his first touch and minutes later Ashley Venison struck to take a share of the points.

Bottom club Purton Reserves failed in their bid to cause an upset at Wroughton but made the home side fight every inch of the way for their 2-0 victory.

The home side took the lead after 20 minutes when a cross from Chris Withers found Barry Dickens, who tucked the ball away well to give his team an interval lead.

The Red House side's efforts were dashed when Lee Curtis collected a loose ball and beat three defenders before slotting the ball into the net to make sure of victory for the home side.

Marlborough Town and Devizes shared the points in a 1-1 draw, Dwaine Henry and Jacob Worbell finding the net.

A late goal from Neil Stevens gave Pewsey Vale a point in a 1-1 draw with Corsham, who scored through Stefan Kowaski.

In Division One the stage looked set for Lower Stratton to register their first points of the season, leading Pinehurst United 3-0 until late in the second half. But in a late rally Shane and Luke Brennan netted, together with Andrew Walsh, to give the home side a share of the spoils. Minety remain unbeaten after 10 starts following their 3-0 win over Wroughton Reserves.

Steve Shaw gave the home side a first-half lead, with a far post header from Terry Dearing early in the second half and a strike from sub Ashley Williams making sure of victory.

Abbey Rodbourne's top scorer Nathan Shepherd added another three goals to his tally, helping his side to a 5-1 victory over AFC Castrol.

Two goals from Kevin Murphy gave AFC Rodbourne a 2-0 interval lead against Stratton Nalgo but late second half goals from Lewis (2), Lee Smith and Jack Baverstock gave Stratton victory.

Pete Mannion looked to have given Stratton Juniors victory with an early strike against Blyskawica but the visitors scored in the last couple of minutes to share the spoils.

James Lovell scored the only goal of the game for Westlecott in a very close contest against visitors Blunsdon United.

Aldbourne Reserves gained a welcome 3-2 victory against Dynamo CDF in Division Two. The visitors fought back to score twice before the break but in a spirited second-half display Ashley Gooch levelled the scores and Vince Elliott snatched the winner in the closing stages.

Leaders Swindon APS were surprisingly beaten 3-0 at home to visitors Intel, with Adam O'Gee (2) and Mike Taylor on target.

A strike from Wayne Presley gave Marlborough Town Reserves a 1-0 victory over Blunsdon Reserves and honours ended even when Chalke Valley drew 2-2 with Chippenham.

Lee Blackmore and Andy Churcher found the net for Chippenham and Lee Smith and Lee Totty for Valley.
