Rugby: Poor tackling cost Minety dear as Sutton Benger staged an impressive second-half comeback.
Playing downhill, Minety had the better of the first half. Prop Matt Hooper thrust his way over for a try, Jack Ward kicked a penalty and flyhalf Ryan Dowling sped in for a breakaway try from half way. His goal kick made it 15-0 at the break.
Sutton Benger came back strongly after the interval. Minety players missed crucial tackles and the visitors ran in a try in the right-hand corner. Three more converted tries soon followed.
Another try by Dowling brought Minety back into the game. His conversion made it 22-26, so that a try for either team would win the game. But it was Sutton Benger who took control, securing victory with a final seven-pointer.
This Saturday, Minety seconds play hosts to Devizes thirds.
