Kelvin Highmore has been sacked as manager of Melksham Town, the Gazette understands.
The Conigre boss was dismissed by chairman Mick Perrin, who is apparently looking for a complete management change at the club.
But, the Gazette also understands Highmore's assistant Wayne Thorne has been offered the chance to replace him.
Highmore, who had been at Melksham for three seasons, led them to 11th in the Toolstation League Premier Division last season and also claimed the Wiltshire Senior Cup with a 5-2 win over Laverstock and Ford.
Highmore had always insisted he wanted to stay at The Conigre and after the Senior Cup victory last month said: "There is lots of talk going on in the background but I have got no intention of going anywhere."
