TRAMPOLINING: Adam Smith, of the Evolution Trampoline and Double Mini Tramp club, has been invited by British Gymnastics to train with the national squad for double mini tramp.
The first session will be held in Birmingham in August.
Adam, who is 16, has been doing double mini for around a year and been trampolining for four years. This year has proved to be his best to date. At the recent national finals at the National Indoor Arena he took the silver medal in the junior elite event, a feat that was immense for his time in the sport.
Coaches Sarah Hunt and Jo Skeates said: "We are so proud to have our first National Squad call-up and know that Adam will work his hardest to achieve all that he can given this opportunity.
"Adam has worked hard to get to where he is. It has not always been easy for him but he has stuck with it and the commitment has certainly paid off. As a club we would like to wish him the best at the session and know that he will do the club and region proud."
Evolution Trampoline and Double Mini Tramp club caters for all ages and abilities. If you would like to join contact Sarah Hunt on 07877 533999.
