HAMBLE goalkeeper Dean Beale pulled off a string of excellent saves to earn his side a replay for a place in the preliminary round of the FA Cup.
Westbury's Luke Smith had an excellent match too and was at the heart of most of Westbury's attacking moves.
The two sides will replay tomorrow night.
Westbury wore their new change strip of gold and navy which was presented before the match by sponsor Phil Hooper of Fine Signs.
Beale's first saves came after eight minutes as he denied Nick Ridout in a one-on-one situation before diving to stop Wayne Wheeler's rebound with his legs. Soon after, Luke Smith's precise ball down the left found Wheeler and his cross to Staddon saw Gary Adams block Staddon's strike. Beale also saved a fierce 25 yard free kick from Ridout while further efforts from Matty Smith, Wheeler and Ridout were off target.
Hamble had some pressure midway through the first half. Jimmy Bull missed the target with a free header from Adams' right wing cross and Kristian Pell tested Nick Evans from fully 35 yards.
The second half was a duller affair, with chances few and far between until the closing stages. Hamble went close as Richard Butt's set piece flew over and Bull's 30 yarder clipped the crossbar. With ten minutes remaining Mark McClements tried an overhead from 18 yards but found Evans in good form.
Westbury finally found some form in the closing stages and it was Beale who denied them the £750 FA prize money with saves from Lee Morgan, Wheeler and Nathan Hallett.
Wheeler's close range header came after more great play from Luke Smith while Hallett's first time effort was set up by a bustling run from Matt Mead.
