MARK Collier’s Swindon Supermarine squad is starting to take shape, but the Hunts Copse chief is chasing older heads to add to the line-up for the new season.

Striker Steve Cook is the only player to have left this summer after he rejected his deal and is rumoured to have joined Hungerford, with Cirencester Town also interested.

As for the rest of the squad, Collier said: “Everybody has agreed to re-sign. Most of them have signed and others have agreed (in principle).”

“We’re talking to a couple of new players but they are yet to sign. The kind of players we’re talking to have got lots of clubs talking to them.

“We’re not too short on the striker front - Mark Barnes has covered that area. We’d like more experience to come in if that’s possible.”

Marine’s players will be back in for pre-season training on Wednesday and they will now play Atherstone Town on Saturday, August 8 (3pm) in a pre-season friendly.

Marine have been drawn away to Brackley Town in FA Cup first round qualifying on Saturday, September 12 and will host either Fleet Town or Bromsgrove Rovers in the first round of FA Trophy on Saturday, October 17.
