LAMBOURN Sports were helped on their way to an impressive 7-2 win over Shaw in the Under 9 Division Two by an unlikely goalscoring source - their keeper.

Stopper Aaron Smillie proved equally adept at the other end of the pitch, scoring direct froma goal-kick.

Luke Plumb, Declan Rackham, Howard Hughes and Kieran Ratcliffe were also on target in the first half, and a goal each for Plumb and Rackham rounded off the scoring after the break.

Under 17/18 League Cup Division Two Wootton Bassett Town C defeated Division One leaders Old Town United 5-3. Bassett’s goals came from Brad Hooper, Joe Shepherd, Sam Farr (2) amd Robbie Ali.

Under 16 League Cup Greenmeadow B outplayed Marlborough Town to win 15-0. A Luke Melville stunner complimented further strikes from Dean Reynolds (5), Jake Volters (4), Callum Staffell (2), Ryan Latham, Kray Dunn and Lewis Waldon.

Under 15 League Cup Shaw B eased past Stratton 15-2. Scorers for Shaw were Kane Heard (6), Jake Roffey (4), Jerome Dodson (2), Ryan Baxter, Tom Jackson and Daniel Tomas.

Under 10 League Cup FC Chippenham felt flattered after their 9-1 win away to Greenmeadow in their midweek match. Goals from Fraser Weston, Joe Brown (3), Jake Fitzwater, Ewan Wiltshire (2) and Ulas Akkan sealed the win.

Under 18 division two A minute’s silence was held before the contest between Purton Youth and Marlborough Town, in memory of two 18-year-olds connected with Marlborough who died in car crash at the weekend.

Purton got on top in the second half and ran out 5-1 winners. The Purton goals came from Martyn Plaistow (2), Mark Woolhouse (2) and Jake Cook.

Under 16 division two Croft Juniors B defeated high flying Highworth Town Juniors with a 7-4 win, after goals from Luke Carter, Aaron Dainton, Luke Sheppard, Phil Jones, Ben Peterson and a brace from David Miller.

Under 14 division one Croft Juniors A ran out winners by the odd goal in nine against Pewsham Youth.

Pewsham took the lead before Croft came back with goals from Tyler Rudman and Alex Grant. However, Pewsham scored again to make it 2-2 at half time.

Matt Sprules then put Croft 3-2 up before Pewsham scored twice in two minutes. A spirited Croft fightback saw Oliver Daglish score two spectacular goals to win the game.

Under 14 division four Kingshill SC beat Northern Lights 10-1. Leeroy Lewis (3), Scott Reynolds, Sam Mountford (2), Lee Bond, George Gray (2) and George Firth scored for Kingshill.

Wanborough beat Malmesbury by the odd goal in five, with strikes from Bradley Mitchell, Will Hooton and Alex Mitchell.

Oaksey battled back from 3-1 down against Penhill Knights to win 4-3. Ryan Adams, a Jack Priestnall penalty, Luke Nixon and Floyd Magson secured the win for Oaksey.

Croft Juniors B secured their first win of the season 11-1 away at Northern Lights S. Liam Flanagan and Brad Ford both scoring hat-tricks, with braces from Mitchell Sabat and Patrick Norris and one for Josh West.

Under 13 division one ASC Youth kept up their winning start to the season with a 2-0 victory over Liden Community, with Edward Evans and Kieran O'Daly scoring for the home team.

Under 13 division two FC Abbey Meads went down 3-2 against AFC Barbury. Scorers for Abbeymeads were Alasdair Little and Haydn Pugh.

Swindon Rangers maintained their 100 per cent record with a 3-0 win against Croft Juniors. Ollie Hunt opened and Ben Holley (2) finished it.

Under 13 division three Old Town United put on an excellent attacking performance against Cirencester Town B. Despite going a goal behind, Old Town ran out 11-1 winners courtesy of Bradley Keene (3), Thomas Whitham (3), Jacob Green (2), Joseph Ouldridge (2) and Donal Mann.

Under 12 division one Highworth Town Juniors H managed a 2-0 win over Cirencester Town. Dan Wheeler gave Highworth a first half lead and Sam Downs settled matters in the second period.

Lydiard Youth emerged 6-3 winners over AFC Newbury thanks to strikes from Alex Dinsmore (4), Jake Muncaster and Jack Telling.

FC Abbey Meads saw off Eldene Rangers 7-0. Lewis Newman hit four goals and the others came from Jake O'Neill (2) and Jack Uzzell.

Under 12 division two Hat-trick heroes Callum Matthews and Reece Snowden secured a comprehensive 11-1 win for Highworh Town Juniors T against Old Town United. Liam Haines, Jack Heard, Jordan Rose, and Jordan Cairns (2) scored the other goals after Old Town had taken an early lead.

Penhill Allstars came out on top 2-0 against Ramsbury, with second half goals from Joe Adams and Stefan Edwards.

Under 12 division three Pinehurst ran out 5-3 winners over South Swindon with Connor Middleton scoring all five goals.

Highworth Town Juniors J went in 1-0 up at half time against Blunsdon Colts, but Blunsdon increased the tempo after the break and a great strike from Billy Gibbs secured the draw.

Greenmeadow D recovered from 3-1 down to beat Brinkworth Cats B. Joel Lines, Scott Webb and Daryl Mapstone (3) scored in the 5-3 win.

Greenmeadow P returned from South Cerney with a 7-1 victory thanks to strikes from James Webb (2), Jake Robertson, Josh Harding (2), Billy McKeown and Kieran Locke.

Under 11 division one Liden Community A were 6-0 down by half-time against Swindon Supermarine S.

Lewis Maule and Blake Hutchings pulled back second half goals for the home side in the 8-2 defeat.

Under 11 division two Croft Juniors were beaten 6-4 by Ferndale Rodbourne B. Ferndale’s goalscorers were Bertram Clement (2), Harry Skinner and Glen Walker (3).

Robert Jankov-Ebsworth (2) and Scott Hartley (2) kept Croft in the contest.

Highworh Town Juniors H gained their first win of the season with a 3-0 victory at Ramsbury. John Cottrell-Smith, Callum Dixey and Rory Peacey gave Highworth the points.

Under 11 division three Jason Budworth and Callum Long both scored hat-tricks in Highworth Town Juniors T’s 9-1 win over Ashton Keynes. Toby Ferrison, Jacob Goddard and Russell McNally scored the other goals for Highworth.

Shrivenham & Watchfield beat Liden Community B 4-2. Bradley Mash (2) and Morgan Buckle (2) scored for Shrivenham, Dillon Gibbs and Aiden Bennett for Liden.

Greenmeadow B scraped past Chiseldon 2-1 The visitors took the lead through Callum Lewington and doubled it through Daniel Cordery before Hayden Garraway grabbed Chiseldon’s consolation.

Under 11 division four Brinkworth Cats overcame Cirencester Town G 5-4 courtesy of Ryan Collins (3), Ronan Hillier and Martin Sinclair.

Greenmeadow A went back to the top of the table with a victory over Blunsdon Colts, with hat-tricks from Matthew Penella-Lach, Mason Lach and Sam Grounsell, two apiece from Ryan Lovitt and Miles Jolliffe and one from Matty Hibbs.

Under 10 division one Blunsdon Colts and FC Chippenham drew 3-3. Chippenham’s scorers were Joe Brown (2) and Jack Coombes.

Under 10 division two Wroughton fought back from 1-0 down to win 2-1 against Lydiard Youth, goals from Riegan Cook and Alistair Moxham.

Shrivenham & Watchfield prevailed over Stratton Youth to maintain their unbeaten record, with Joseph Beasant scoring two goals and Daniel Lawson getting the other in a 3-0 win.

Wootton Bassett Town A won 4-0 against Shaw to maintain their perfect record. Three from Zach Bunce and one from Euan Burke secured the points.

Under 10 division three Highworth Town Juniors T scored an equaliser with the last kick of the match against Chiseldon. Guy Drayton’s second hat-trick in three games ensured Highworth maintained their unbeaten start with the 3-3 draw. Chiseldon’s goal scorers were Max Pocock (2) and Matthew Talbot.

Joshua Blackmore scored three to help Ferndale Rodbourne to a 5-0 win over Blunsdon Colts B. Ferndale’s other goals came from Harry Kearns and Bailey Fisher.

Highworth Town Juniors J won 5-3 against Wanborough, with goals from Matthew Starling, Aidan Van Der Heiden, Christian Durrant-Williams and two from Oliver Le Bon. Toby Berwick (2) and Joseph Maskelyne scored for the visitors.

Greenmeadow enjoyed a comfortable 13-0 win over Penhill Allstars, with goals from Oliver Mathews (4), Lee Giles (3), Jordan Hyde (3), Lee Murphy, Tayler Sanders and Jake Duncan.

Under 10 division four Highworth Town Juniors T continued their unbeaten start to the season with a hard fought 3-3 draw against Wroughton Youth B. Highworth’s goals came from Guy Drayton (2) and an own goal.

Under 9 division one Stratton Juniors A were beaten 8-2 by Purton. The scorers for Purton were Mitchell Cremin (2), Hamsa Amaan (2), Jack Harper (2), Adam Thorn and George Sawford, with Finley Merchant and Ryan Harris replying for Stratton.

Highworth Town Juniors H lost 4-2 to Croft Juniors. Croft’s scorers were an own goal, Dan Skinner and Tom Phillips (2).

A top-of-the-table clash saw Swindon Rangers run out winners against Lydiard Youth, hitting six without reply. Joe Tyson (4), Cameron Liffen and Daniel Hopper scored the goals James White’s five goals helped Ferndale Rodbourne to a 7-1 victory over Greenmeadow. Josh Dixon added the other two.

Under 9 division two FC Abbeymeads A suffered a 5-1 home defeat to Calne FC, with Nathan Prothero scoring the consolation.

Under 9 division three Highworth Town Juniors T showed their class to emerge 5-0 winners against Broad Town Colts. Leon Summers (2), Max Morland (2) and Eloise Hayward hit the back of the net.

Wootton Bassett Town A snatched a 1-0 victory over Swindon Rangers B.

Under 9 division four Wootton Bassett Town B sneaked past Shrivenham & Watchfield 2-1. Joe Mitchell’s two goals proved to be the difference between the sides.

Purton Youth B overcame Marlborough Town 7-1. Jay Crabbe managed six with and Louis Brown one.
