UNDER-PAR Adie Mings will keep his distance from Chippenham Town’s squad for the next couple of weeks after undergoing cardiac tests last week.
The Bluebirds boss complained of chest pains last Friday, but no immediate problem was detected, although the 41-year-old’s assistants Gary Kemp, Matty Bown and Pete Hussey will take charge while he shakes off nagging illness.
Mings said: “I’m not too bad, still feeling a little bit rough but I’m getting there.
“They did some tests and they don’t think that it’s a cardiac problem, which is obviously a good thing.
“I’ve just got to wait and see what comes back from the test, but it shouldn’t be a serious problem.”
“I don’t think I’ll be back in the dugout for a little while but the guys will do a fine job while I’m not involved.
“I’m still getting across information to the players and they’re taking it on board and playing well.”
Mings watched from the stands as Chippenham followed up Saturday’s 1-0 win at Hemel Hempstead with a 2-1 midweek home win over Truro.
