Local competitors were on top form at the Dorset and Wiltshire County Indoor Championships at Salisbury.
Chippenham’s Pauline Burfitt became ladies Compound champion, setting new county and Grand Western regional records.
Clubmate Linda Keen, from Malmesbury, was third in the Ladies Recurve.
Devizes bowmen Tony Smith and Richard Powell won their bow types, Smith becoming men’s Compound champion and Powell, who recently set several national Longbow records, becoming longbow champion.
Chippenham junior Angela Keen, From Malmesbury, won the U18 girls Recurve and Rory Whybrow, from Christian Malford, the U15 boys title.
All are members of the current Dorset and Wiltshire County senior and junior teams, with the seniors, including archers from clubs in Corsham, Chippenham, Devizes and Swindon, the reigning Inter County champions of the Grand Western Archery Society Region, which covers Gloucestershire down to Cornwall.
