ZAMARETTO LEAGUE DIVISION ONE SOUTH AND WEST: Perrin's Robins pick up

FROME Town boss Darren Perrin was pleased that his side got back to their best during their 1-1 draw at Thatcham Town on Tuesday night.

Perrin’s men were thrashed 4-0 by North Leigh on Saturday and the Frome manager is hopeful that the result is out of his team’s system.

“On Saturday we were woeful, abject and we lacked passion – any negative word you could think of would have described the performance,” said Perrin.

“About two of the players came out with any credit but we played much better against Thatcham.

“We created chance after chance and the only reason we lost was due to a rare mistake from our keeper Tom Pass.”

Mark Salter gave Frome the lead against Thatcham before a long-range free-kick from Dean Stow beat Pass at the far post.

A brace from Matty Taylor and goals from Aaron Posery and Ben Reardon condemned Perrin’s side to defeat against North Leigh on Saturday.

Frome host promotion rivals VTFC tomorrow and Perrin admits that the game is a must-win.

“After dropping two points on Tuesday we need to win against VT if we want to get in the play-offs,” he said.

Perrin hopes to complete deals for two players in time for next Thursday’s clash with Magnotsfield United.
