MID WILTS YOUTH & MINOR LEAGUE: Devizes into U9 final

IT was League Cup semi finals time for Mid-Wilts Youth League clubs this weekend, with Corsham’s Leafy Lane hosting games on Saturday and Sunday.

U9 LEAGUE CUP

A hat-trick from Stobbart and singles from Gordon, Davies and Holdsworth saw Devizes through to the U9 final with a 6-0 win against Chippenham Town Youth.

Devizes will play FC Chippenham A after they beat Westbury Youth Lions 2-0.

U10 DANIEL HIGGS MEMORIAL TROPHY

Warminster Highbury beat Chippenham Town White 4-2 with goals from Luke Woods (3) and Adam Clark. They will play Trowbridge Town Youth A after their narrow 1-0 victory against Melksham Town Saints, Jack Knight scoring.

U11 LEAGUE CUP

Four goals in the first half from Sam Costain and one in each from Christian Frimpong saw FC Chippenham Youth end 6-0 winners against Devizes.

Trowbridge Town Youth A will face them after a narrow 1-0 victory against clubmates Trowbridge Town B. A team keeper, Lyndon Williams saved a penalty and Timmy Otto scored the only goal.

U12 RON BOUCHER MEMORIAL TROPHY

Trowbridge Town Youth A will face Chippenham Town Youth White after running out 2-1 winners against Melksham Town Youth, whileChippenham were 3-0 victors against Derry Hill United.

U13 JACK GOODENOUGH MEMORIAL TROPHY

Sam Rose and Harry Waylen scored for Melksham Town Youth in their 2-0 win against Bromham. They will play Chippenham Town Youth White in the final after their 2-1 win against Biddestone.

U14 TIM KERR MEMORIAL TROPHY

Chippenham Town Youth went a goal behind to Trowbridge Town Youth A but bounced back to win 3-1 with a second-half hat-trick from Adam Gerrard taking them to the final for the second year running.

Worton & Cheverell made it through after a 4-3 win over Frome Collegians, with a hat-trick from Josh Gingell and a single from Elliott Bodman.

U15 RON & EDNA SALES LEAGUE CUP

FC Chippenham beat Devizes Town Youth 3-0 in their semi.

U16 BARRY CURTIS MEMORIAL TROPHY

Trowbridge Town Youth A saw off clubmates Trowbridge Town Youth B 11-0 with goals from Alex De Silva (5), Billy Precup (2), Lewis Smith, Damon Kay, Jack Miluk and an own goal.

Castle Combe Colts will play them after a single-goal victory against Trowbridge A in their semi.

U17 LEAGUE CUP SEMI FINAL

BRADFORD Town Youth edged the most tense of the weekend’s semis, 5-4 in a penalty shootout after a goalless draw with Castke Combe Colts.

U9 DIVISION THREE

Hosts Calne FC and Derry Hill United drew 1-1 in their league match, Callum Nicholson on target for Calne.

U9 DIVISION FIVE

Bishops Cannings won their sixth consecutive game, running out 12-2 winners against hosts FC Chippenham B keeping them one point clear at the top of the table.

Louis Harrop (5), Adam Edwards (2), Jack Brown (2), Alex Lemon (2) and Nathaniel Fiddy scored for Cannings with Callum Pegg and Tyler Beattie replying.

Trowbridge Town Youth C were 3-2 winners against clubmates Trowbridge Town Youth D, George Needham (2) and Harrison Ragford scoring for the C team.

U9 DIVISION SIX

Jake Brooks scored twice in Bradford Town Youth’s 2-1 win at Westbury Youth Tigers – their first of the season. Harrison Trevor, Westbury’s usual keeper, replied.

U10 GREEN DIVISION

Striker Alfie Presley’s hat-trick gave Marlborough Town A a 3-0 victory over Castle Combe Colts.

Devizes returned to winning ways with a 4-0 win over Bradford, thanks to two goals from Alex Cook and strikes by Ciaran Webster and Callum Kibble.

U10 RED DIVISION

Biddestone Youth completed their fixtures with a 4-0 win at Melksham Town Youth Robins, Matthew Harvey (2), Luke Jones and Joshua Klukowski on target, leaving them a point clear at the top.

Warminster Highbury Blacks drew 4-4 with visitors Marshfield Juniors, Chandler Sear and Drew Elgin (3) scoring for the Blacks.

Second-placed Devizes Town were 3-1 winners against fellow contenders Mere FC, Lucas Reay (2) and Aaron Holloway on target.

U10 YELL0W DIVISION

Worton and Cheverell Wizards need just three points from their remaining three games to clinch the title after a 3-1 against Melksham Park B. Abraham Stracker (2) and Charlie Powell netted.

Bradford Town Youth Eagles beat Warminster Highbury Stripes 5-1, goals from Jordan Smith (2), James McLeod (2) and Lizzie Finch.

Marcus Holmes scored his first goal of the season for Trowbridge Town Youth D in their 5-0 win at Bromham. Bartek Cieslak, Jesse Wyness-Batstone (2) and Alfie Little also scored.

U12 RED DIVISION

Melksham Park Youth made rivals and leaders Melksham Town Youth Reds work hard for their 5-3 win, Thornton (2), Walker, Wicks, Gould scoring for the Reds.

U12 YELLOW DIVISION

Castle Combe Colts won their first game of the season at Staverton.Two goals each from Ryan Wilson and Alex Woodley gave them 4-2.

Marshfield Juniors notched up their third win of the season 2-1 against Calne FC. Conner Holloway scored for Calne.

U13 BLUE DIVISION

Melksham Town Youth Blue went level on points at the top, but remain second on goal difference after their 3-0 win at Castle Combe Colts. Sam Rose, Lewis Mccarron and Jack Sanderson scored for the Blues.

U14 RED DIVISION

Chippenham Town Youth Blue moved within a point of leaders Westbury Youth A aftera 9-2 success against Westbury Youth B, for whom Kieran Hardy and Olly O’Grady scored.

U15 GREEN DIVISION

Westbury Youth beat Calne FC White 5-1, Will Harford, Jack Hayward, James Harrison and Kieran Nunn (2) the scorers.

Worton and Cheverell defeated home side Trowbridge Wanderers 4-2, James Lawford and Sam Cooper on target for Trowbridge.

U16 RED DIVISION

Third-placed Warminster United narrowed the gap at the top to just one point after their 6-0 win at Melksham Park, Ashley Bodmin (3), Matthew Hyde, Jordan Meale and Richie Smith on target.

U17 BLUE DIVISION

Westbury Youth defeated Derry Hill United 3-0, with goals from Oli Fox, Jonny Tribick and Adam Bishop.

Leaders Worton and Cheverell went eight points clear after their 7-0 home win against Larkhall Athletic, with goals from Dan Moore (2), James Dark (2), Scott Stroud, Maverick Drewett and Martin Dickenson.
