CHISELDON Reserves are still searching for their first win of the season in the Swindon & District League Premier Division after they went down 4-1 to high-flying DJC Marlborough.

DJC powered into a 2-0 half-time lead thanks to an Anthony Duckett double, before Chiseldon responded early in the second period through Tom Davis.

The basement side then blew the chance to level the game when they missed a penalty, and DJC completed the win with strikes from Andrew Deery and Richard Jackson.

Queenstown top-scored at the weekend as they routed visiting Spectrum 9-1.

Shaun Smith bagged a hat-trick and there were braces for Jason Varney and Richard West, while Colin Deacon and Kieran McCarthy added singles. Spectrum’s consolation was scored by Stephen Kelly.

Elsewhere, lowly Pembroke collected three valuable points courtesy of a 3-1 victory over Swindon Auto Engine Tune.

A Paul Tewksbury effort from 30 yards gave hosts Pembroke a deserved lead and Chris Wood doubled the advantage.

Cameron Hayes pulled a goal back for SAET, but Woods scored his second of the day to hand Pembroke their third victory of the season.

Meanwhile, CitiFaith Ajax remained win-less after they were well-beaten 5-0 by Lower Stratton at Shrewsbury Road.
