SWINDON Town Ladies Under 13s continued their amazing unbeaten league run which now stretches back to November 28, 2009 - an incredible 24 matches without defeat - to stay six points clear at the top of the Oxford Girls’ League.

Their latest success was a 1-0 win against third-placed Bloxham.

Bloxham worked hard and restricted Town to a couple of long-range efforts with the visiting keeper making fine saves from both Alice Telling and Jess Graham.

Swindon stepped up a gear in the second half, hitting the Bloxham woodwork three times as they took control.

The Reds finally made the breakthrough with the best move of the match as Alex Gibson found Telling on the left hand side, a swift ball up the line put Amy Jolliffe away. And as she left the Bloxham midfield in her wake, she put a great ball across a packed penalty area, leaving Sophie Boycott with the simple task of tapping the ball into the net for her first goal of the season.

Elsewhere, Highworth Town Juniors Under 17 girls cruised into the semi-finals of the League Cup as they hammered GVR Chalford 12- 0.

Highworth were rampant from the first whistle and Jess Roffey gave them the lead on three minutes, after rounding the keeper.

Six minutes later it was 2-0 as Becka Ash saw her shot cannon off the crossbar for Kerry Walklett to tap in the rebound. On 15 minutes it was three, as Ash caught everyone out with a quickly taken free-kick to Roffey, who smashed the ball past the keeper.

Sarah Rayworth again linked up with Roffey whose shot was spilt by the keeper for Ash to pounce for the fourth.

Walklett deftly stoked the ball home with the outside of her right foot to make it five and Ash and Roffey aded two more to make it 7-0 at the break.

Nine minutes into the second half, Lucy Gooch got her first goal of the season with skipper Shannon Fenton also opening her account.

Rebecca Mollart made it double figures and an own goal and Morgan Whitaker completed the rout.

Meanwhile, Croft Girls played their first match against a Swindon FITC girls team at Grange Drive on Thursday evening and ran out 9-1 winners.

Scorers were Sophie Roberts (3), Georgia Sims (2), Emily Povey (2), Anya Bryan and Pheobe Breckenbury.
