MELKSHAM Town will mark their return to the Toolstation League Premier Division with a trip to Willand Rovers next month.

Dave Clayton's Conigre side, who went up as First Division runners-up at the end of last season, have been handed a tough-looking opener on August 4, with Willand having finished fifth last term.

Clayton's men are back in action two days later (Monday, August 6), facing Cadbury Heath - the team that pipped them to the First Division title last season - in their first home match.

Elsewhere on the opening day, there are home starts for First Division new boys Warminster Town - who host Roman Glass St George at Weymouth Street - and Bradford Town and Calne Town, who host Portishead Town and relegated Welton Rovers respectively.

Corsham Town, relegated from the Premier Division, are also at home first up, with Shrewton United the visitors to the Southbank.

Devizes Town, back under the stewardship of Mark Love, go to Hengrove Athletic in Bristol, while Westbury United travel to new boys Cribbs Friends Life.

Midweek derbies follow on Tuesday, August 7, as Westbury and Calne meet, as do Devizes and Bradford Pewsey Vale's Sydenhams Wessex League Division One campaign will kick off in unusual style.

Vale, now led by Lewis Taylor, welcome Hythe & Dibden for their opener on September 4.

Pewsey's season actually kicks off a few weeks earlier with their FA Cup extra preliminary round tie Bournemouth on August 11.
