9:38pm
Heat 15 : Holder, Ward, Andersen, Kildemand (R), 61.06 (49-41)
Kildemand has the squeeze put on him at the first corner and is relegated to third. He later retires on the final lap when fourth, but there was no stopping the Pirates anyway.
9:28pm
Heat 14 : Pawlicki, Doyle, Lampart, Kling, 61.19 (44-40)
The race of the night bar none. Lampart and Doyle were on a 5-1 until Pawlicki cut through the middle of the Robins pair on bend two lap three.
9:22pm
Heat 13 : Kasprzak, Holder, Andersen, Batchelor, 61.22 (41-37)
Easy 5-1 for the Pirates.
9:17pm
Heat 12 : Ward, Kildemand, Lampart, Eklof, 61.03 (36-36)
That's four wins out of four for Ward. Kildemand has a good go at the home rider but he's been different class tonight.
9:13pm
Lampart in in place of Stead for heat 12
9:13pm
Heat 11 : Andersen, Morris, Kasprzak, Kling, 61.47 (33-33)
Andersen storms it but Morris takes the plaudits for a cracking ride to repeatedly block Kasprzak.
9:09pm
Heat 10 : Holder, Kildemand, Masters, Doyle, 61.22 (32-28)
Kildemand goes from fourth to second on the back straight. Holder never worried.
9:04pm
Heat nine : Ward, Pawlicki, Batchelor, Stead, 61.72 (28-26)
Ward forces his way past Batchelor on bend two and that's that. A great response from the hosts.
8:59pm
Heat eight : Morris, Lampart, Eklof, Masters, 63.40 (23-25)
Lampart gates and Morris goes from fourth to second on the back straight. Bang.
8:55pm
Riders out on the track now for heat eight. Remains to be seen what state the track is in now though.
8:54pm
Track staff have resumed their positions now, and we may not be too far away from a restart here.
8:46pm
@nedpayne1 good news! Think we need to get an advantage in heat 8... #swindonrobins

8:38pm
The assembled press reckon it might have just stopped raining... hold your horses cynics!
8:35pm
@nedpayne1 seems like a good first half to the meeting for the robins. Keep it going boys. #swindonrobins

8:21pm
Racing suspended here in the interest of safety following Kling's spin, and the track staff will take a look at things following the rain shower.
8:18pm
Heat seven (awarded) : Kasprzak, Kildemand, Doyle, Kling (F) (22-20)
Kling was third when he went careering into the air fence on the first bend of lap three. Race stopped and awarded - a lucky escape for Swindon.
8:14pm
Heat six : Batchelor, Holder, Masters, Stead, 61.53 (19-17)
Masters does a remarkable job to keep out Stead for third as Batchelor finally nails the visitors' first win.
8:07pm
Heat five : Ward, Andersen, Morris, Pawlicki (F), 60.50 (16-14)
Pirates were on a 4-2 until Pawlicki fell again, this time on bend four lap two. Painful night for him so far. The hosts have won every heat with a third of the meeting gone but are only two points up.
8:03pm
The Pirates have won all four races so far, but have only one heat advantage to show for it.
8:02pm
Spots of rain beginning to fall here at Wimborne Road, and the meeting will run through to heat 12 before any interval to ensure a result.
8:01pm
Heat four : Kasprzak, Batchelor, Lampart, Eklof, 61.03 (13-11)
Anyone for another 3-3? That's the third in four heats so far. Batchelor was first out but Kasprzak hauled him in quickly.
7:57pm
Heat three : Ward, Kildemand, Doyle, Pawlicki (F), 60.15 (10-8)
Pawlicki pulls a bit too much of a wheelie on the back straight and comes crashing down on his back. Ward then passes Kildemand in the ensuing bends.
7:55pm
Pawlicki lifts on the back straight and falls on his back, but clears the track to allow the race to continue. Ward leads.
7:53pm
Ward and Pawlicki v Kildemand and Doyle in heat three. The Robins duo have been superb in recent weeks, but will need to be at their best tonight.
7:52pm
The atmosphere here at Wimborne Road is superb. If this is the play-off final, the resident press are going to need ear-muffs. Incredible noise.
7:50pm
Heat two : Kling, Stead, Eklof, Lampart, 61.40 (7-5)
Cracking battle between the top two but the Pirates man just about keeps his nose in front. Lampart never threatens.
7:46pm
Heat one : Holder, Morris, Andersen, Masters, 60.50 (3-3)
Holder inches past Morris on the back straight. Masters locks up big style on bend two of the last lap but he was last anyway.

Simon Stead starts tonight's meeting at reserve, but does not intend to spend too much time in the bottom two.
SIMON STEAD
“Being at reserve is a position I don’t want to be in for too long, and it is not a position I intend on stopping in,” he said.
“I will be doing everything I can to get myself out of that position as soon as possible because I don’t want to be a reserve and I don’t expect to be there.
“When I was signed at the start of the season I don’t think anyone here expected me to be there either.
“I have the same intention now I am at reserve as when I was at number one, five, three, four or two, and my outlook on the meeting is exactly the season.
“We have made a lot of changes to the staff, the mechanics and bikes and all those changes are working and I feel a lot more confident on the bike now, and everything is working a lot better.
“I need to start racking up some big points now to get out of there.”
7:31pm
Former Pirate Jason Doyle is back at his old stomping ground this evening, and has a point to prove after missing both legs of thr grand final last season through injury.
JASON DOYLE
"Not being in the last two meetings of the year for Poole really hurt me because I had worked all year for it,” he said.
“They forget you really and forget you have done more than 30 meetings in the year to get you to that point, and that hurt quite a bit.
“Middlo (Pirates boss Neil Middleditch) got me up on the podium after we won and that was nice because it showed he didn’t forget me, because a lot of the fans did.
“I know I go well around Poole and now that I am fit I think I can go there and score some big points.
“The situation doesn’t bother me to be honest, because I have been to Poole enough to know that every one of us has to be putting in 110 per cent if we are to get anything.
“They are a stronger side now in a way, but our team has been together all season which is good because it is a good recipe for success.”
7:29pm
Slightly damp track here at Wimborne Road, but a healthy crowd and a noticeable buzz around the place. This should be a cracker.
7:28pm
Come on @AJROSCO and his Swindon Robins tonight... You can do it!!! #championsinthemaking

7:24pm
Robins boss Alun Rossiter is expecting a tight affair, and wants his side to take a mental edge over their rivals before the start of the play-offs.
ALUN ROSSITER
“It is obviously not the big one in terms of a title decider, but it is very important because if we win it it will help us finish top of the league,” he said.
“We know how important it is and we know what we have to do, it is as simple as that.
“Finishing top will give the team a huge boost going into the rest of the season and the play-offs, and will give everyone a lift because it is all psychological in this game, as 90 per cent of speedway is.
“It is the same with losing, if you lose you can take a psychological blow.
“We want to finish top, and we have always wanted to finish top, because going into the play-offs as the top side in the league is a huge advantage to have over our opponents.”
7:20pm
Good evening and welcome to Wimborne Road for this evening's top of the table Elite League meeting between the Poole Pirates and the Swindon Robins.
The two sides are separated by only two points at the top of the table, and the result of this evening's meeting will go a long way to deciding who gets the pick of opposition in the play-off semi-finals.

Rossiter says that conditions were poor and I don't doubt they were- but the scorecard doesn't lie.
Its all 'what if's' regarding the recent aborted go at replacing Simon but there is still time to find someone else because Simon can only be relied upon to be one thing- unreliable.
I, personally, have no interest in having nice guys in the team if they can't be effective. We need winners.
Over to you then Rosco and Patch....

And leaves Poole looking like they have some kind of dysfunction such is their need to win at absolutely all and any cost.

As for Simon that ain't nearly good enough from reserve is it. He could made the difference- but didn't.
