FRATELLOS continued their good start to the season with a narrow 4-3 victory over Auto Engine Tune in the Swindon & District League Premier Division on Saturday.
The hosts completed their second victory in as many games, ending Auto Engine’s 100 per cent record in the process.
Elsewhere, there were goals galore at the Elms Recreation Ground Extension as AFC Glove ran riot against Highworth .
The visitors lifted themselves into top spot in the embryonic league table with a massive 9-2 victory.
Lower Stratton improved on their first home performance of the season, a 10-2 thrashing by Queensfield United, when they entertained DJC Marlborough at Grange Drive.
However, Stratton are still looking for their first home point of the campaign after they slipped to a marginal 1-0 defeat.
Spectrum have yet to win in the Premier Division and they lost for the third time in a row, 1-0 at home to Swiss Chalet Rangers who climbed to fourth with the victory.
Village Inn enjoyed a notable 3-1 success against perennial high-flyers Queensfield United, securing their first points of the season in the process.
There was plenty of exciting action for teams in Division One, as every match featured five goals or more.
Ferndale YMC, fresh off the back of a 6-1 hiding at home to Tap & Barrel last time out, completely reversed their fortunes as they won by the same scoreline over point-less and rock bottom Bassett Bulldogs.
Fox & Hound made it two wins from as many games this season, edging out Swindon Spitfires 3-2. Spits are still searching for their first league victory of the campaign.
Old Town United have started the new term with a bang, and they almost doubled their goal difference to a staggering plus-18 after just three matches courtesy of an 8-1 annihilation of eighth-placed Chiseldon .
Tap & Barrel are closest to catching Old Town at present, and they maintained their own 100 per cent record with a 5-1 success at Ramsbury, who have now lost on each of their three outings so far this season.
Finally, Larry’s Plaice registered their first league win in 2012/13 as they saw off Sportz Central away from home by the odd goal in five.
