SWINDON Robins rider Troy Batchelor missed out on a place in the GP series this evening after a run-off.

Krzysztof Kasprzak won the meeting at Gorican to book his place in the series on 11 points, but the next five riders, including Batchelor, finished on 10.

The tie brought about a series of run-offs, but Batchelor failed to finish in the top two in either of his two races as he suffered bike problems, and was eliminated.

Former Robin Matej Zagar and King's Lynn number one Niel-Kristian Iversen went on to secure their spots in the 2013 series.

Batchelor's fellow Robins Hans Andersen and Peter Kildemand were also in the meeting, but Andersen's night was curtailed by an engine failure as he finished on eight, while Kildemand ended on five.
