CHIPPENHAM Town have signed former Bristol City defender Clayton Fortune.
The 29-year-old centre back featured against the Bluebirds in the FA Cup for Mangotsfield United last month and has now opted to make the switch to Hardenhuish Park.
Fortune has 53 league appearances for Bristol City under his belt, as well as spells at Port Vale, Leyton Orient and Weston-super-Mare.
After leaving Aldershot Town, the Chippenham new boy missed the 2011-2012 season before joining Mangotsfield this summer.
The Bluebirds are also hoping to complete the signing of goalkeeper Ben John from Cinderford Town.
Nathan Rudge's men host Bedford Town in the Evo-Stik League Southern Premier Division this evening (kick-off 7.45pm).
