SPEEDWAY: Roar Robins into final, urges Rossiter

SWINDON Speedway bosses are urging fans to get to the Abbey on Thursday and roar the team through to the Elite League Grand Final – and they’ve dramatically slashed admission prices.
The play-off semi final, second leg against Birmingham sees the Robins lead by 20-points after a stunning display at Perry Barr on Monday.
And admission for Thursday is just £10 adults, £5 concessions – and in a smart move all children, juniors and season ticket holders go free.
Boss Alun Rossiter said: “We want to see the terraces packed and we want that Blunsdon roar to create an extra special atmosphere.
“It promises to be a memorable night and we want the people of Swindon and surrounding areas to come down and get right behind us.”
Rossiter admitted he was proud of his riders after Monday’s 55-35 win.
He said: “What an outstanding performance. It was a great display, very professional, but it is still only half the job done.
“Peter Kildemand was fantastic and the same goes for Troy Batchelor and Jason Doyle. All of the boys were just outstanding.
“Just a word for Steady (Simon Stead). Unfortunately he is the one who is having the least amount of meetings. All these other boys are racing all over the world and he is just riding in the Elite League. It is just really tough on him with not having enough meetings really.
“It’s been a fantastic season. We just missed out on finishing top, but let’s go down to Poole if we get there and try and win down there.”
