SWINDON ROBINS: Robins sweat on Morris fitness while Pawlicki is ruled out

SWINDON have major concerns over the fitness of teenage star Nick Morris ahead of Monday’s Elite League grand final first leg against Poole.

Morris scored eight paid eleven in Robins’ 55-37 semi-final second-leg victory over Birmingham but crashed heavily in heat 15.

And although he was able to walk off the track shortly afterwards, he is now feeling the effects of a very awkward landing.

Boss Alun Rossiter said: “Nick now has a sore neck and a very stiff back, and he’s also suffered a chipped tooth. I have to say unfortunately he’s a major doubt for Monday.

“We’ll monitor him over the next few days and hopefully he’ll be feeling better, but it’s a big worry for us at this stage.”

Meanwhile, Poole's Polish ace Piotr Pawlicki has been ruled out for both legs of the final.

Massive loss if hes out. Means Steady at number 2 and Bjerre at reserve. Ruins the whole balance of the team.

Its Rosco messing about with Middlo - Nick will be fit - young man like him will not miss the final. If this is 100% re Pawlicki then this is good news.

I thought Rosco wasn't going to indulge in mind games with Poole!
Well, lets hope it is mind games and young Nick is ok and on track on Monday.
