MELKSHAM Town breezed through the preliminary round of the Les Phillips Cup in style as they thrashed first division Portishead Town last weekend.
Gary Higdon netted a hat-trick while Leigh Rogers was also on target twice.
Melksham travel to Street in the league on Tuesday evening.
