RUGBY: Supermarine 3rd 5 Minety 2nd 12
5:00pm Tuesday 9th October 2012 in Sport
FOURTEEN-MAN Minety put on a gutsy display to hold onto a first-half lead at South Marston.
Late call-ups to the first team left the second string short-handed but, after 20 minutes of sustained pressure, Steve Murray broke from a ruck and popped the ball to fly-half Andy Edwards, whose pass sent Ashley Windle over, Edwards converting.
Prop Morgan Lightbody nearly went over from a driving maul, but Dellam Murray took advantage to continue his record of scoring in every match so far this season.
Twelve points ahead at the break, Minety held on, Marine pulling back just one try in the second half.
