JUNIOR golfers in Wiltshire have until October 19 to enter two major golf competitions being held in the county this month.
The Hills Junior Golf Championship and the County Age Group Championship will be held together on Thursday, October 25 at Marlborough Golf Club.
Alan Pardoe, chairman of The Hills Group, said: “It is the 27th year that Hills has run the junior golf competition and we are pleased to be working with Wiltshire County Golf Union this year.
"More than 40 players have already registered to take part and spaces are becoming limited.”
The competition is open to both boys and girls. Players aged 10 and over will play the full 18-hole course, whilst those under 10 will play 9 holes.
Entry fees, which include a meal, are £4.50 for the 18 hole medal and £4 for the nine hole medal.
David Lewis, secretary of the Wiltshire County Golf Union, said: “The Hills Group has been a great supporter of junior golf over many years in Wiltshire and we look forward to working with them to make this competition a success.”
Entries can be made via the Wiltshire County Golf Union website wcgu.org.uk/ or through The Hills Group website hills-group.co.uk/consult/community.html
This event will be the final event in the 2012 Junior Order of Merit and County squads will be announced at the end of the Championship.
