SWINDON ROBINS: Robins' KO cup clash postponed

TONIGHT'S Knockout Cup quarter-final first leg meeting between Peterborough and Swindon at the East of England Showground has been postponed due to bad weather.

A statement on the Robins website said: "The track is already wet after rain earlier in the week and the weather forecast for the Peterborough area and the rest of the country is extremely poor from mid-afternoon onwards.

"After consultation between both promotions an early decision has been made to save supporters an inevitable wasted journey."

The way the climate is going we have to consider some way of covering the tracks. If we have another season next year like this year then casual/new supporters will lose interest
