ASSISTANT boss Justin Webster hopes fresh faces can breathe new life into Devizes Town’s season after the Nursteed Road men suffered a few days to forget.

Town slumped to a 7-1 reverse in their Wiltshire derby at Bradford Town on Saturday and were then soundly beaten on home turf by Cribbs Friends Life on Tuesday evening.

Webster branded the midweek reverse as simply not good enough and revealed he and boss Mark Love were working on freshening up their ranks.

“We stuck with the same team on Tuesday to give them a chance to redeem themselves after what happened on Saturday, but to be honest we didn’t create many chances,’’ said Webster.

“Cribbs were a decent side, but it just wasn’t good enough from us.

“We talked about it after the game and we’re looking to bring in some new players. We should have two or three coming in soon. We’re remaining upbeat, but hopefully it can give us a bit of a lift.’’ Danny Hale netted against Bradford, with Devizes all square at 1-1 approaching half time before the floodgates opened.
