PAUL Swindlehurst is quite happy for Sheffield to bring a muscular style of play to the Link Centre this evening, as he believes Swindon have the ‘skill’ to outplay their visitors.

Sheffield caused a stir in the Wildcats camp with their physical approach to the teams’ previous EPL meeting this season, a 5-4 overtime victory on the opening weekend.

However, giant D-man Swindlehurst is not bothered if the Steeldogs adopt the same tactics again.

He said: “I’ve been involved in some physical games and if that’s the way they want to play then we’ll move around them and play around them.

“If we don’t act like they do and continue to play our style of hockey which is pass and move, then even though they are a big team, we will be fine.

“I’d say we’ve got a more skilled team with the likes of (Matias) Perkkio and (Aaron) Nell in there, we can score goals.”

A trip to Bracknell on Sunday provides the second game of the weekend and Swindlehurst is conscious that the Bees are a tougher proposition than in previous campaigns.

“Bracknell are playing really well this year so we’re not going to underrate them,” he said.

“The league is going to be very close this year and you can’t afford to go into any game thinking it’s in the bag.

He added: “We’ve been in top form recently, we’ve played two of the biggest teams in the league (Basingstoke and Guildford) and we’ve outscored, outskated and outbattled them.

“We’re on a bit of a high at the moment and hopefully we can carry that on.

“If we can get four points this weekend then that will be a great run for us, that would do us really well.”
