A SPECIAL visitor will be at Chippenham Town's FA Cup fourth round qualifying tie against Conference South side Gloucester City on Saturday - the FA Cup itself.

The famous trophy will pay a visit to Cheltenham Town's Whaddon Road ground - the venue for the tie which will see the sides playing for a place in the first round proper.

Supporters will be able to have their picture taken with the iconic trophy before the match, which kicks off at 3pm, and the Tigers are encouraging fans of all teams to head to Whaddon Road from midday onwards.

Tigers chairman Nigel Hughes said: "I can remember the last time the FA Cup visited Gloucester City. We didn't know it at the time but it was the last league game we played at Meadow Park before the ground was destroyed by the floods.

"To have the FA Cup come back, five years later when we are playing at the highest level in our history and continuing to thrive against the odds is fantastic for the club and we are thankful to those who made this happen.

"We look forward to welcoming fans of all teams down to Whaddon Road to see the cup and get their picture taken with it, you might not arrive as a Gloucester City fan but we will do our very best to ensure you leave as one."
