HAVE YOUR SAY: Muse launch official Olympic song - what do you think of it?

This Is Wiltshire: Matt Bellamy Matt Bellamy

Muse have been chosen to provide one of the official songs for London 2012.

The stadium-filling group - who were among the stars who have carried the Olympic torch on its lengthy tour of the UK - are unveiling their song Survival.

The track will be played throughout sports sessions at official venues for the games, such as when athletes enter and during the build-up to medal ceremonies.

Frontman Matt Bellamy said: "It's a huge honour to have the track chosen as such a major part of the London 2012 Olympic Games.

"I wrote it with the Games in mind as it expresses a sense of conviction and determination to win."

So now we have a terrible song to go along with the hopeless 2012 logo and dodgy phallic symbol mascot. Sums this rubbish country up.

It's better than the supermarket drudge of years past, and far superior to Gary Barlow's school project.
...and I'm not even a Muse fan!

I love it, dramatic and fierce!! Muse are a credit to this country, they've consistently produced excellent records and still manage to keep it fresh with their own style.

Spot on burgerboy, it sounds like they are murdering a load of good old Queen masterpieces to me too! There are a couple of good bits in it too but not enough.

If ever proof were needed that Britain is in a downward spiral culturally!
It is absolutely awful.
The 'organisers' should have called in a film music composer, not this excruciatingly bad and very, very poor-man's version of 'Queen'.
